How many of you guys use this?

Did anyone find that it's putting stress on the joints of large, irregular sized models? (ie. Galrauch, Archaeon, etc...)

Uh . why? I just use a tackle box. Works for me.

I presume you mean to carry armies, in which case I would opt for a tackle box or a GW carry case-style thing (though preferablt less of a rip-off).

Wouldnt a rifle case sorta.....startle people?

If you take a look at: http://www.americase.com/pages/order/4002.shtml , they don't look too over-the-top. In fact, in Britain, I wouldn't even recognise them as rifle cases...

Yes, seems alright, not really noticable that it would hold a rifle.

Reason I want to use it is because it is cheap, and has foam and stuff too.. If I use a tackle box, doesn't have foam, etc. have to modify it.

So is there an issue with it damaging some models or not?

Oh, right! :P I thought you were looking for ways to stop it happening in a case you already owned. :D

Nope there isnt any probs they work swell, just cut the foam to shape like you would any other case and your in buisness.

i use two pistols cases (they're smaller than the rifle cases) they cost $7 each and i can carry about 100 Guardsmen in one, or 8 Tanks, my dice & my tape measure. They come with 2 layers of foam, so for tanks i take one out,a nd for guardsmen i just have 2 layers...work wonderfully, rarely do i have anything break

Holy! You can fit that many dudes into a pistol case?.. and the large models like your tanks also work?

Sounds good.. I think I will go with this idea.

What did you find best to use to cut the foam?

only one problem with gun cases. They get stolen. if someone sees a guncase in the back of your car, they'll think theres a gun in it. Guns cost alot of money.

Ha. thats why I use a computer parts kit / tacklebox. I get all of
that, plus customizeable foam peices. =)

That's not a serious problem.. I can put it in the trunk.

I'm more worried about all the pointy bits of Chaos (long spikes, arms sticking out, etc) getting broken off. If that isn't a problem, then there's no problem :)
