THIS IS NOT A RANT THREAD ABOUT THE PRICE.... so read b4 u tell me it is.
ok.. so i go on the site and check out the US prices for regiment and squad, it is $25 US for a box on the site, so if i convert that price to canadian, it's $30.90
In canada, it's $40 for a regiment or squad box.... that's $10 off the US price... soemthing is wrong here

I am canadian. That is just evil ripping us off. What are they, racist.

Also for the rulebook it's freaken 60 dollars canadian. If that book sold in book stores it would be like 30 dollars.

Gamesworkshop are just cheap skated

No, they just didn't change the prices from when the conversion rate was still around $0.60 CDN/$1.00 USD. But, the US economy has since dropped considerably. So they should change it.

Wait. Did I just consider GW LOWERING prices?

BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*Sniff*
HAHAHAHA!
*Giggle*
*Snicker*
Man, that's a good one.
*Wipes tear*

Such as which ones?.. when I try to find a online store it's like, either high shipping.. or has Canadian prices for Canada..

I would recommend that all canucks check out Great Canadian Miniatures, an online store that offers 25%-35% off all GW stuff. Great deals. Only downside is that you have to pay Canadian taxes, but shipping isn't bad as you don't have to pay for customs or anything.

Here's the website: http://www.gc-minis.com/index.htm

Enjoy, my Canadian brethren....

I have also realized that the prices on the GW website is like $5 lower than the actual stores. It might be because you have to add shipping and handling. But it still really pisses me off when I'm trying to plan out a new army and how much it's gonna cost me :realmad: .

It sounds too good to be true.. you've ordered from them before?

You only save money from GCM on large orders.
For example:

Broadside Battlesuit from GW store:
$40.00 +tax = $46.00

Broadside Battlesuit from GCM:
$28.00 + tax = $32.20
+ Shipping - $10.00 + 0.08% of total W/O Tax = $12.24
Total = $44.44

See? You only save $1.56, and it takes longer to arrive.

However, you save lots on big orders:
Tau Battleforce Box from GW Store:
$130.00 + tax = $149.50

Tau Battleforce Box from GCM:
$91.00 + tax = $104.65
+ Shipping - $10.00 + 7.28 = $17.28
Total = $121.93

Now, you save $27.57.

Yes I have. Got two full Battlefleet Gothic fleets of well over 2000 points each for a mere $250 Canadian, including shipping, taxes, everything. However, what Broadside_Pilot says is somewhat true. If you're only ordering one or two things, you're savings won't be that great.

However, shipping is reasonable. Its mainly the Canadian taxes that get ya. If you have a large order to fill, like say half an army or something, I would highly recommend them. The good news is their service is great. Yes, you do have to wait a little while (about a month) to receive your items as the only way they can maintain their awesome discount is to order direct from GW when an order is placed, then give you close to a vendor's discount. But they are great to correspond with and work hard for your business. They refunded some of my order without me even asking when they were missing a blister I ordered.

I'm sure that maybe there's another site out there that offers equal or maybe even somewhat better deals, if you work out the conversion rates, shipping, customs, everything, but this is rather easy and caters just to Canadians. Red120, as you yourself said, the problem with ordering from discount sites online is that most are American, and they either stick you with the Canadian prices, or they massacre us on shipping. I would recommend Great Canadian Miniatures on orders larger than $100 and up.

Enjoy.
