I just wanted to say again that whirlies are actually very poor in a space marine army and whatever tactics you use it for all enimies will take it down because it is easy points in a campaign and there is really no point in having one and having 3 in an army is just stupid because you would be GIVING the enemy vps i would rather spend those points on a land raider and survive for longer than 10 minutes

How ever much you put your whirlies in cover they will still get owned by rubbish things like bikes and sentinels

Whirlwinds are actually not a waste of points as i found out, i normally play against low armour save armies and i find that taking 2 whirwinds with vengeance missiles kills a squad at a time, giving me a lot of cheap victory points.
Also castellan mines aren't bad, as you can drop some mines at a Lemon Russ and have a very good chance of destroying it when it moves.

Whirlwinds against space maines is a pain though.

Besides that the whirlwind is a good tank for the ponits you pay for it, a landraider is far worse that a whirlwind for the price/performance ratio.

Remember the Whirlwind can fire indirectly so all you need do is hide it behind cover and protect its flanks.

The Whirlwind can be considered one of the most annoying vehicles in a Space Marine army, and given the amount of people that use them, I would say your opinion is in the minority.

This is a double post. You posted exactly the same thing Yesterday.

Don't double post.

Taking into account that your posts also generally show no constructive criticism, merely 'I don't know how to use Whirlwinds effectively, they are therefore useless and I'm going to spread that useless opinion' If your going to post, at least have a point to debate rather than "This is my opinion, I'm going to keep it despite the entire forum telling me otherwise and showing examples of why I am wrong".

Wow...you just don't know when to quit, do you kid? I really hope a mod locks both of these sorry topics fast, and maybe we'll even get a treat and you'll be locked out of LO yourself for a few days.

LO is not a forum for b*tching. Go complain somewhere else.
