You only have 2 combat units (the ogres and the pikemen) and the heavy cavalry which is pretty bad against combat armies. I would suggest getting another unit of pikemen (not as big though around 16 will do). I would get rid of one of the units of light cavalry as you ahve already got the Duelists to flank the enemy and the heavy cavalry so drop a unit. Also get rid of a dispell scroll. Remember it is still under 2000pts so the opponent will only have a Lv.2 wizards so 2 Dispell Scrolls is a bit overdoing it. I would not take the Talismen of Protection either, its only a 6= Ward Save and your mecenary captain already has heavy armour, a barded warhouse , a magic shield which gives a 1+ save so the talisman is not necessary. If you add up all the points that you got rid of (Talismen, 1 unit of Light Cavalry, Dispell Scroll) you should ahve around 120 pts. Then if you get rid of 2 knights (a 8 man units is enough) anda few crossbowman you could get another unit of pikemen or Paymasters bodyguard (I dont know there points cost but there stubborn). With all these units with ranged abilities, haven't you guessed it's for defence?
Okay, since my friend usually goes Magic Heavy (3 Necromancer Heavy...) I think 2 Dispell Scrolls will help. A lot. By Default. The Mercenary Captain's on foot, it's the Paymaster who's got Talisman, and in my experiance, the army crumbles without the Paymaster.
Taking out those items is 130 Points, another 80 from Crossbowmen, making 210 Points.
The Light Cavalry are there to kill Ghouls and/or Dire Wolves, which, when my friend uses them, get extremely annoying.
Although I strongly disagree about Heavy Cavalry against combat armies, with a decent Flank Charge they, like all Heavy Cavalry, can steam roll through any unit. Without Stubborn, of course, ;)

Sorry I didnt realise you were playing against a magic heavy army. Sorry but if your palying against a WVampire Count magic heavy army you need to take the fight to the enemy as your friend could just keep raising more units of undead. Apart from that good list.

take off the lvl two upgrade. you wont ever get a spell off. just take your three power dice and hope you get lucky with a fireball, or second sign. o and by the way MAX OUT, 25 PIKEMEN PER UNIT! take as many casualties as you cant youl still get you four ranks.
