View Full Version : Advertising Gaming clubs?

I would be interested in advertising my local gaming club on LO. I was just elected vice-president and was asked to do a bit of searching where we could scare up some more players.

I dont want to infringe on any rules, as this is your club - not mine.

If I could do so how would I go about it? In sigs, in my posts or in general and off topic discussions?

Or if the answer is no, then thats fine also.........

In your sig is fine, but making whole new posts about it is not.

However, in Clubs and Clans its ok, so long as its not a recuitment thread. What I mean is, if you got a load of members from your club to join LO, then you could have a club topic, in which you could discuss your club related stuff, and set up games. (If your club doesn't already have a website that is.)

Thank you.

Now to figure out how to do so........

Well, what are you trying to do? Just put a link in your sig? Or the name of your club?

Just how to put a link in my sig would be great.....

(God i'm old, I used to be the all-knowing god of computers in high school - 14 years ago.)

Click the hyper link button when writing your signature. I tried to write it out as an example but it makes that a link, sorry. :(

That should help. ;)

[ URL=http://www.(yourclubURLhere).com/]Your Club Name Here[/URL]

Pretty much that, minus the space at the very beginning (before the first 'URL'). Or you could just click the 'Insert Hyperlink' button, which looks like a world and a chainlink (or paperclip, the image is very small).

Hope that helps.
