i was thinking of taking up chaos dwarfs and i want to make a small 500 point warband. generally warbands dont take heroes for generals but that leadership 10 just looked to nice to pass up. anyways this is my first CD list so do be very critical:
dark thane 70 points
heavy armour, shield, greatweapon
15 warriors 165 points
hand weapon, shield, heavy armour, fc
12 blunderbuss dwarfs 144 points
hand weapon, heavy armour, blunderbuss
1 hobgoblin bolt thrower 30 points
18 sneaky gitz 90 points
two poisoned hand weapon
total: 500 points
anyways tips about converting models would be appriciated too :)

Hi and welcome to Chaos Dwarfs.
Thats a nice list but whats the total points?500pts? The only thing would be free up 30pts for another HG bolt thrower as they only really work well in pairs.
Converting
Firstly ebay is a great place to get the offical models and the UK online store still sells some CD stuff.Anyway, for average warriors just use Dwarf warriors and make the big hats out of green stuff(but I used IG Chimeria Tank wheel thingys).Slave greenskins are the easyist (just use the normal models). For sneaky gits or Hobgobos use goblin bodies with night goblin heads. Hope I helped.. ;)

cool that sounds good... anyways what do you think i should take out for another BT? i know that sneaky gits generally only work well in big groups, i want the full cr advantage with my warriors, and i want the full S5 with the blunderbusses, so im stuck...
also thx for the advice on converting :)
i see that the UK GW site has centaur bull and blunderbuss models, and the other warriors could easily be made out of normal dwarfs and green stuff. the normal hobgoblins would be good with the nightgoblin heads, but do you think that i should make the sneaky gitz' weapons out of green stuff because that might be quite hard at such small levels... ah well ill get practice with the hats of the warriors. done blabing for now ;)

Don't forget to get the mail order catalogue. They have everything, except a few molds are broken (no bull centaur standard bearer, etc etc)
