This is may first list I made, even tho it might be innacurate, cause I was too impatient to wait for a reply to my questions in the main kroot forum.

24 hounds
total model count 110
Evolutionary adaptaion: Ork Hybrid

HQ
Shaper 129

Bolt pistol, Ork Hybrid frag and Melta Bombs

Troops
Carnivore Kindred 246
20 kroot, Ork Hybrid
Shaper-Flamer, Power Weapon, Frag

Shaper-Flamer, Power Weapon, Hyperactive Nymune Organ, Surefoot Charm
12 Hounds

Heavy Support
Hunter Kindred 124
10 Kroot, Ork Hybrid
Shaper

And I have some options I'm trowing around that might benifit the list, or might not.

1. Drop 1 hound from each pack and give the Carnivores each a Metlabomb.

2. Drop the Bolt Pistol on the Vulture Shaper, The Frags on the Carnivore Shapers, The Surefoot Charms from the Kroot Hound Shapers and add 2 more hounds to each Hound Pack.

So, thats my list. I don't plan on going any larger than 1500 pts at the moment, but that might change later, like I might go 1700 or 1850 so I can enter Tournaments. Any comments on the list would be extreamly helpful to me, and if one of the two options sounds better, let me know. Thanks in advance for all your help.

you shoudl comsider droping some power weapons/flamers for a few evsicerators, those powerfists will same your nuts big time.

It thought the flamers would be a great asset to the units, but you hardly ever use it, as it's casualties might deny you a charge if your opponent is smart. Sluggas are good for that extra attack, and faulting an eviscerator, melta bombs.

If you fleet with your kroot hounds, you won't get to shoot that flamer either.

Give your vultures and kroot hounds blood of the stalker, this will insure the first turn charge.

Ah, thaks for pointing those things out. Also, I noticed I did some things wrong on the list (ork hybrid on master shaper), and I'm in the process of putting those additions in right now. I'll post it up ASAP.

OK, now to the new list.

And I'm thinking of either bringing two carnivores to the hunter kindread, or dropping the hunter kindread and gettin 5 more vultures and 4 more hounds. OR... I could buy all the models and just switch em up when i need some more cc over shooting, or more snipers of troops...or w/e...

Also, switching the meltabombs on the carnivores for flamers, and dropping the sluggas for a bolt pistol on the vulture shaper, and a frag nade on sumthin or another... But this option is less likely to happen.

I think you are set to try it out.

The only difference between a slugga and a bolt pistol is the AP, wich isn't worth the point IMO.

the problem with a flamer is that you only get 3 power weapon attacks in combat, wich isn't very effective.

Cool, thanks. Its just that if I do that option, I wouldnt reallt have any where else to put it... Because unless I misenterperted the rules on frag nades, a power fist or equivilent would still attack last no matter if you had frags or not... If this isn't the case, id definatly put some nades on my eviscerators.

remenber you still have Initiative 3, many foes strike before our charges, and I have seen guys get out of terrain to receive my charges, a very smart move.
