Empire Figures

Would I be able to use some of my empire and Ogre models in a DOW army

Characters
Wizard- Hireling Wizard
Empire Captin- Captin
Marco Colombo- Paymaster

Units
Spearmen- Pike men (temporary untill I get proper figures)
Halberders- Paymaster's Guard
Ogre Bulls- Just ogres (sp choice)
Knights- heavy Caverly
Swordsmen- Deulists
Crossbowmen
a Great Cannon- D O W cannon
and Ironguts as Ironguts

Do theese look alright to start a list with then buy the figures I need later if I follow this up? :)

I don't see why not. The whole point of DoW is that you can use pretty much any models you want... within reason.

I should think so. From the list you gave the only one which would be obvious would be the Spearmen, but I don't think many people would mind. ;)

Well, If you wanted GW off your back you could always extend the spears an inch or two and greenstuff the ends into pikes.

The DoW list is basically a mercernary army why couldn't Empire soliders hire themselves out. I'm using Empire and Ogre as the basis of my DoW army.

As for extending spears with Green Stuff replace them with copper wire as pikes.

One thing though: Duellists are best given Pistols and nothing else (Or just second hand weapons in case the shooting thing doesn't matter to you). In that case, Swordsmen don't quite cut it. Then again, if you did something like Shield+Throwing Knives or somesuch...

Possibilities, possibilities ^^ (btw,the Empire Militia should do well for dualwielding duelists (Whether it's a sword and a pistol or just two swords))
