In the 9 months or so that I've been here, I've had a few occasions where I really just wanted to post a question or idea that was neither really a painting issue or a conversion issue, but more of a modeling issue. As in, right now, I'm toying with the idea of using some different models for a Deathwing army. It's not really conversion (or at least the conversion is pretty minor) nor is it a painting issue (the painting isn't anything I'm unsure about.) It falls into kindof a gap between the two. I'm not sure if other people have had similar feelings, but I thought I would open my mouth and see if it's just me over here.

My guess would be that seeing as you arent really altering the models, rather using different ones, it might be painting... either way, put it in and if its wrong a mod will move it for you.

I'll stick in a modelling forum and see what happens.

I would have just placed most stuff in the conversion board. I don't think that a new forum for it should be the way though. I just don't think a new board is needed for the sake of a few topics that may not fit in one place.

Well lets give it a month or so, and see how many pure modelling projects are posted. It could well be that it would be better placed in the Conversion subforum, or some kind of joint 'Modelling and Conversion' forum be created. But it won't hurt for a month or so where it is to gauge interest.
