View Full Version : Medusa V problems

Well at the beginning of Medusa V I had firm belief that just maybe GW would let people play and not rig the campaign.

SMurfs and Guard 1st and second: just how GW wants it as it will help their advertising.

Eldar 3rd: GW needed eldar to come about 3rd or else they would have to change the new codex to include a polluted webway, something they dont want to do.

Tyranids are 4th: since the tyranids didn't have that serious an objective they were the ideal bad guys to come next.

Chaos 5th: since they are behind the imperium and eldar its all irrelevant where chaos come they are doomed, just put them in a good position so that the other bad guys are forced below them.

Dark Eldar, orks, necrons 6th: Lets put in the unlikely event of a three-way draw so that we can just collectively say "the bad guys lost".

Tau in last place: Tau had to be in last place for GW to remain breathing. After a new codex just released GW would have been horrified at having to introduce psykers to the race.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me but I think its curious how eldar were dominating Medusa V and suddenly they get 2 last places in a row. Putting them just behind the precious Imperium.

Its not the most convincing argument but the results turned out EXACTLY like GW wanted them and after eye of terror GW have a history of cheating.

Well, I am under the assumption that GW hasn't rigged the campaign, and as far as I know, it all turned out for the better.

I agree with LordLink. GW rigged the hell out of this campaign......Besides even if they didnt It would have been similar anyway......to many marine players.......

Also I never got mentioned in the weekly reports execpt to get critized on being unorky....Dispite being the highest ranked Ork and 4th highest ranked player in Canada! All cause I have my Warboss name is Queen Cuddlepuff Happysquig the Good Intentioned of Da Pretty Boys....my Ork army is a queer as me.....stupid GW....

Well the results don't come out till the 6th September. Last I checked two hours before the end, Tau were 7th.

I'd be more inclined to wait for those results before thinking that GW may or may not have rigged it.

Personally, I'd bet my nuts on the fact that GW already has their history set-up for them, and they won't let anyone change it. Essentially, you need to turn a blind eye to the results, and just read everything leading up to it. In the very end, certain armies are going to get whacked and finish last. However, if said armies can stay in 2nd/3rd place until they post the results, then you know and I know that you came in 2nd or 3rd place.
Look at any of the other campaigns, ie EOT, and then the codexes that came after it. The Cadians came out on top even though they really sucked in the campaign. Or at least until GW put their finger in the pies and 'fixed' the rankings.

Ps. I'm betting cashews you sickos:w00t:

I feel like the whole campaign is confusing. It is difficult to tell exactly what is happening on the planet (no overall narratives) and the battle reports don't seem to have much to do with the outcomes of battles. Also, the color system to monitor progress seems bizarre. There have been times where a race has done quite well numbers wise only to recieve a lower color coding than would be appropriate. The battle reports requiring multiple players to sign on created a barrier to me. It isn't always easy to get an opponent's confirmation for a battle. And although it may have reduced minor cheating problems (people entering false favorable battles for themselves), it may have created more (in addition to making the process a hassle for gamers). Gamers can simply not confirm the battles where they did poorly. Other loopholes can undoubtedly found. ::sigh::

Well, overall, I think GW will (hopefully) learn something from this, seeing that almost everyone seems to be very unsatisfied with the overall result.

That being said, I'm going to close this, since it doesn't seem to be much more than moaning.

Closed.
