I'm starting the dogs of war and need advice on my list.

I suspect this thread will get moved to the army list section ...

Overall not too bad, but what are your tactics? You've got a
mostly infantry force, but what if your opponent doesn't
come to you? Also, some skirmishers are very useful to
cover the flanks of your pikemen. Is your general going
in one of the pike units?

Cannons and crossbows are nice as a base to hassle
the enemy and weaken him.

I'd probably ditch a pike unit and the paymasters bodyguard.
I like taking some norse or ogres for a bit of oomph.

I would try to include some light cavalry, they're great value.
Also, why not include a Standard bearer in your cavalry instead of
a champion? Same cost, but you'll always get +1CR, whereas
your champion will on give you +1CR if his extra attack wounds
the enemy.

At 1500 points a L1 wizard may not be enough. If you can afford
it go to L2 and get a dispel scroll or two.

That is a good infantry list you have there, but the pikemen are too many. You really should get some Norsemen, Ogres and Duellists for extra nobility, more fun and a better game. Then post your army in the army list section from there please.

sorry but your list is WAAAAAAAYY too vanilla. the point of DOW is to mix it up and include units that are fun. I dont even have one unit of pikemen in my army...
