1000 pt - Chaos Dwarves - First List

This is my first list for CD. Let me know what you think. I only want to use dwarves.

First off, Welcome to the CD's! Pretty fun and competetive army if you like to convert and focus on infantry, now onto the list.

Your hero would really benefit from not having that weapon, the better choice in small pt. games would be a simple GW combined with the Black Armour (I believe) that's 30 pts. and grants you a 1+ save, pretty good eh? He's tough and durable enough to take any hero down.

I'd knock one of the warriors out, make it even unit, but they look good enough. Remember, you need at least five people in a rank now to a bonus.

Blunderbuss peep's need some work, as right now they are only Str.3, with 12 they become Str.4 and with 15 Str.5, pick one of these to beef up to and add one or two more, incase they are fired upon. You might only have one unit now, but they are very effective at taking down the enemy.

Pretty much everyone can agree that Death Rockets are horrible, and I would drop them from some Bolt Trhowers. Since you want only Dwarves though, I suggest taking more Blunderbuss and Warrior units to add some more beef to your force.

The Earthshaker is a great deterrent, and a good choice, though a bit expensive. If your good at guessing and a little luck with the roll though I say keep it!

Why are death rockets so bad?

I am making this army for 2 reasons. I really want a new army that is different then my WE. I also want them so I have 2 armies incase somebody I know wants to play against me but doesn't have their army. So since it will be taking on my WE I wanted to give it a trump card since I think the infantry will not do well against my WE based on how that list is setup.

Well, if the other person is playing, I don't think they would use your list exactly, and he isnt you, so you have no clue what the person is capable of with certain armies, I found that out the hard way.

Death Rockets are too expensive for too little, and the random bouncing keeps it from being an effective guess weapon.

Infantry are infact good against WE's, since most WE armies lack ranks. If you can survive the shooting and elite hand to hand units, which Dwarfs do well, you should win through combat resolution.
