I was reading the Empire Book yesterday at my local GW and saw how nasty the warrior priests prayers were. I see a lot of people taking them especially for one prayer in particular.

Armour of Contempt- The warrior priest gets a 4+ ward save. (Dan Abnetts gonna sue)

Soulfire- Daemons, Undead and Forest spirits in base contact with the priest suffer D6 Strength 5 hits with no saves allowed.

Hammer of Sigmar- Allows the priest to re-roll all failed to hit and to wound rolls.

Cannot Remember what it is called- Makes the priest and unit the priest has joined unbreakable. (Reason #1 for taking them)

Cannot remember what it is called- Allows the priest to heal their wounds back to their starting number of wounds.

Oh and apparently the Hellstorm Rocket Battery recieved its name after an unfortunate incident involving Boris Toddbringer almost being blown up by a rocket in its testing phase. Needless to say Boris was none too impressed by this and the following torrent of abuse that the poor engineer recieved from him as a result was the inspiration for its name. :D

Wow those are pretty good prayers and a big improvement from the old ones. Though do you know if you can still cast the prayers on other characters still would be nice to know. Plus can they dispell the unbreakable one (might be common knowledge but I'm a newb to fantasy).

Indeed, perhaps they'll be harder to cast, or the bound level(s) will be lower, or you can't cast them as often. ;)

Power level 4 (5 if you are are using an Arch Lector) is pretty easy to dispell but some of the smarter Empire players will use this to their advantage by tag-teaming the priest with a wizard or two.
The wizard casts his spells forcing their opponant to use dispell dice to stop them thus leaving the priest to cast their prayers unopposed or use the prayers to soak up dispell dice (As the opposition will very likely know how effeective they are.) so the wizards can cast their spells.
Very sneaky really. :shifty:
