oh my god! I've just seen the price of the new Vanquisher...

GBP48! $96US BEFORE the $10 shipping!!:O

Of course, it appears from the pix that the WHOLE tank apart from the treads and side pcs are resin...

£48.00 is expensive, but I would gladly pay that much for at least one in my army, even though I already have three of my own lol

Christ, looks like I'm going to have to sell myself if I want to have some thudd guns :(

Check out their prices, £32.00 for a single infantry squad!!! I could buy half a dozon cadian squads on ebay for half the price on ebay and convert them.

Your best bet is to convert a standard Leman Russ.
If I am not mistaken, Vanquishers are...
Wait, lemme pull out my Imperial Armour!

*whirrs, buzzes, clicks*

Standard Leman Russ with a Basilisk barrel with the end of a normal battle cannon.
That is my tip for the conversion of a Vanquisher. I hope it helps, this piece of technically unwanted advice :X

Any idea for thudd gun conversion?

Glue 4 mortars togheter and stick 'em on Empire cannon/mortar wheels from WHFB. Could work.

Thudd Gun looks schweet. It has the rules out in the experimental section. It fires basically four mortar templates. But has limitation on the turns it can fire i thei (if i remember correctly it can fire 1,2,4,6 turn. So having a barage will dumb 12 templates on a person.

that's assuming it isn't moved too. Just imagine the havoc a battery of these, a battery of the heavy mortars, and a demolisher would cause. Mix in a few HB and LC teams and you've got a SOLID wall of shooty death!

I'm SOOOOO stoked to start my DKoK, but I promised myself I'd finish my tourney orks and my eldar :(.

The command squad is very nice looking. I have a few little problems with it though.

1) I don't like the inclusion of melta and plasma (especially 1 each) in it. I'd much prefer grenade launchers and flamers to keep the 'old school' look of the Krieg.

This isn't a huge deal, as I could shuffle some other stuff around, but hey!

2) The standard at the Platoon level command (as there is supposed to be a true COMMAND HQ coming as well). They basically end up as decorative, since there are no rules for a platoon level standard. In fact, the main IG rules say that ONLY the command HQ can have a standard:(( .

3) This is a very subjective, nit-picky one (and may change when I get the squad). I don't really like the vox caster's vox-box. I'd pictured in my head a very WWI looking big box and telephone, similar to the Cadian command squad from FW, where the commander is actually on a phone-style handset.

They are sweet looking though, and the standard itself is amazing. I hope that IA5 will have new rules for the Krieg that allow platoon level standards, as they'd look awesome in big waves of men as they charge over the top.

I also love that they are now equipping models with brass rod instead of resin for things like standard poles.
