How does counts-as work in campaigns? Say, for instance, I had an Imperial Guard all gussied up and such to be a Traitor Guard/Chaos Militia force using IG rules. In a campaign like Medusa V, would I still be forced to play as part of the Imperial Guard side, or would my army count as part of Chaos?

Well... hmm.

In any campaign you were participating in with real, face-to-face human contact, you'd be a faction of Chaos. In something like Medusa in which you only had a cold computer interface, you'd have been Guard and therefore on the side of the Imperium.

Although, for what it's worth, there's nothing that could've stopped you from signing up as CSM and having your games count in that manner. True, you're not a CSM force, but at least your victories would be going down on the right side.

Well im not sure if this is corect, just my opinion. I dont think you could join up on the chaos side if your using IG rules, just as if i show up with say... Ultra Marines and i say im alpha legion or something and im using the Ultra marine rules. So no i dotrn think you could use your guard as chaos unless you start using chaos rules, correct me if im wrong. Anyways Good Luck on whatever your doing

I was just wondering. It seems odd to me that they would enforce which side you're on based simply on the rules you use for your army.

In something like Medusa, all we did was report wins and losses to the server. That's why I was saying you could sign up as CSM and it wouldn't matter.

If you're talking about a face to face, real people kind of thing, they shouldn't have any trouble letting you play for Chaos with your IG ruled army.
