Man, is my buddy going to be cheesed off. He just bought a TON of metal bits for converting his black orks. :((

I don't play fantasy (apart from a bit of BFSP) but I HOPE that these sprues are indicative of what might possibly be in the works for the 40k orks as well.

These are some very nice looking bits, and should GW give the Orks short shrift, I can see them filling in some major gaps in the 40k line. 'Ard boys and Nobs would both really benefit from these bits.

Damnit those arms dont look compatable with Space Orks, which while no big deal for Black Orcs looks kinda like a missed oportunity for 40Kers.

the arms aren't the big deal, as you get loads of extras in a boyz box, the heavily armoured heads and torsos, and all the extra cool bits are what I'll be looking at. Even some of the cleavers would be cool for choppa conversions.

Not quite what I meant. The current ork torso has "flat" sides and the arms are complete. On these models part of the arm is part of the torso piece. Which means some "orkward" cutting of the arms to get them to hold a shoota.
Not a big deal of course but it would be a lot easier if they had flat sides and a marine-like shoulder plate to get the same detail.

Now its more important that they look good and work for WHFB but I had hoped they would keep the Orks/Orcs more easily compatable between the ranges. Would mean more variety in not only what I made but what I played against aswell.

Never mind. I do like these models though.

kinda looks like they took the metal black orcs modified them a tiny bit put em on a plastic sprue and added some extra bits. nice though too bad that i quit my orc army

chaos knorne orcs... cool, plus when these babies come out it would be easier to convert them since their plastic, the heads, choppas and extra bits would come of great use (i have some ideas brewing up now!).
