Now that i have seen the new dark angels (which rock), i can't help thinking what will be the next army. I have posted a thread for the blood angels, and agree with Rork had to say. I saw in a WD issue of a year or two ago that codex Alien hunters would soon arrive.

After the size of the Chaos Space Marines codex, and given that only the Sisters really have a full army developed - GK and Deathwatch are uberspecialists, Sisters are a more... standard army - the Inquisition codex wouldn't be too surprising. Though really, the Sisters are cool enough to deserve a separate Codex, but only if it can easily be mixed and matched with Codex: Inquisition like Hordes of Chaos and Beasts of Chaos.

From what I've heard, GW alternates between doing an Imperium codex and doing a xeno codex. Tyranids, Black Templars, Eldar, Dark Angels were the last four so the next I expect is a xeno codex. I kept hearing as of a few months ago that Orks were supposed to be next after Dark Angels. Somebody posted pictures of some new Ork model prototypes at some show in Europe.

sorry but i refuse to believe that orks one of the oldest 40k armies is going to be dropped, if workshop was to drop an army it would be dark eldar which would be a damn shame cos they are awesome

I think he meant that Orks were going to be released soon, but they've now been dropped down the schedule - not that GW are completely dropping the army. That would be a shame.

No it's not too radical. You haven't said anything new that hasn't been going around the rumor boards. I'm ready for the Dark Eldar though, it seems like the light is starting to show at the end of a long dark tunnel!:yes:

ill ask about dark eldar for you, as im curious as well, when i was talking about the release schedule i didnt even mention dark eldar but he brought it up, and said that they are being done, and jess goodwin is working on it.
at that point i told him to shut up your talking aload of rubbish now :D next you'll be telling me necrons and squats are being done.

id love to show you guys the pics of unreleased stuff that ive seen, im actually dying to show you this big one ive got agggh!, you know games workshop have tons of really cool unreleased items that the public dont know about, you guys know the 40k chaos range is all but complete!

i asked about dark eldar today, dont say i dont fight for you guys he said the concept work is all but done, i cant remember who he said worked on it, it might even have been jess, the plastics are being done NOW...

Because plastics can take a year to create the mold and enough stock before you can release them. The plastics use a steel mold while a metal mini takes a vulcanized rubber mold which can be created in a day.

not alot mate sorry, the guy i get my stuff from came back from head office the other day claiming to have the rules to the new codex in his bag, he didnt actually show me them though, but i still belive he has them, as ive found out off a number of ppl now who hes close with up at head office :realmad:

okay then, it does seem to be more and more that chaos in deed getting next as their starting to come a lot of reports on the codex.
What do you know about the models themlseves, the way they look nad options, also any info regarding a new plastic chaos dreadnought.

hey guys, again ive not got alot of info yet, as ive not been paying attention & ive only seen this guy once in the past month and it was just having a beer and not talking GW, ill be seeing him later this wk and ill ask a few questions.

The only little things i remember from him, is LATD rules are probably not in this codex, as he mentioned its all marines. but dont belive this rubbish about 5 'dexs each with 1 traitor legion as like their marine equivilents

All the models that will be released are already done, the terminators look like some of the best sculpts ever made (not my words, ive not seen them) but their all undivided FACT, so you'll still have to convert your bezerker terminators etcs, but i hear they are planning to do legion specific ones at some point after the splash release (not fact yet)

Yea, but it seems as thou they are always going to be a year off. I've been hearing that for the last 3 years! And not I'm hearing they are just going to reuse the Eldar models.... I don't know what to think about that... :cry:

dont shoot the messenger bro :) , thats what i had originally heard as well, before he told me alot of the daemons are not being redone, but have been pulled to be repackaged ala the warp spiders & swooping hawks etc, its one of the questions ill be asking him anyway.

hokiecow, again i feel your pain, ill ask him about any dark eldar stuff he can tell, but truth be told i dont think he knows much more than ive already told you, your best bet at this stage may be to do commission work on dark eldar with some of the polish companys such as fenrisstudio or LAS, personally ive used fenris for my pre heresy 1k sons army and they've done a crazy job on conversions, i know one of them called Morthai has a completely converted Dark Eldar army and the pics hes shown me are just MAD... again thats your best bet if you cant wait anylonger bro, sorry

Is that how they do it? They make a bunch of new models, THEN release the codex, So is that why they take so long to release the codex?
