I just "finished" my first guardsman. I used a brown ink... would a wash have been less shiny? If I used a matte sealer, will it get rid of the shine? Also, the shoulder, shins, pack, and gun are all drybrushed with Reaper "gun metal". It looks white in the pics so I just thought I'd clarify. I also need to drill the barrell (no drill at the moment)

Anything I should change? Critisizim is much appreciated.

Please note that LO has a limit of picture size in threads. Please keep them to 600 pixels wide or links. Thanks - KU

Nice paint work....
one thing think you need to dim down the green pipes a little....

Mmmmm... shiny! LOL - seriously though - what's up with the shine? Hard to tell the colors apart from each other...

I think it looks good, but as you said, a bit shiny.
It is the ink that makes it so and yes, a wash is much to prefer.
I also think you could add some highlights to the model, it seems a bit flat now. This could of course be just the photo, god knows what my camera does to my minis... it's strange.

I think you'll have a really nice army once you finished your renegades and I'm looking forward on seeing more of them:)

I like the bright green to go against the duller color of the model.

I posted all my models too.
