I have a unique painting challenge for my army, that I hadn't given much thought to until now.
I play 'nids, and did some conversion work on my raveners. I have one burrowing up out of the ground, with a suitable pile of dirt all around him as he pops out to surprise the enemy. The problem though is that a creature popping out of the ground isn't going to have the shiny brilliant colors of the rest of my army - it's going to be dingy and dirty and covered in muck.
My problem is, I have no idea how to paint that.
Suggestions?
