There is a couple in Exeter if you are willing to travel

The one i go to is on wednesday 7-11pm
entry is £2, first time is free, situated at a social club with a licensed bar :)

They play a lot of stuff but popular games are FoW, WFB, W40k and there are currently 2 tournaments being run, WFB 2vs2 - 1k points per player (starts soon) and a Necromunder campaign

Hello mate! By sheer fluke I caught the title of this thread when browsing the main page. I can help you on this one!

Yes there is a Taunton club for tabletop gamers/card gamers/roleplayers and the like. I know because a mate of mine and I run the club!

Its on every Friday evening at The Albemarle Centre in Taunton, just off Station Road. It runs from 6pm to 9.30pm and the entry is £2, but your first visit is free. Just come along this Friday and mention you saw this on the LO forums and I'll recognise who you are. No age limit, we got people from early teens all the way up to middle aged men.

We do card games of all kinds, various role play game systems and of course tabletop games, particularly Warhammer and 40K. So bring your army long and hopefully we'll find a player for you.

45 miles to the nearest GW in Exeter is a bit of a treck for some 40k
