I#ve added a brief contents review of the September 2008 UK White Dwarf (which hasn't hit the shelves yet) onto my blog (see my signature below)
Review focuses on Warhammer Fantasy gamers but also includes brief highlights for 40K and LOTR players.
Fantasy includes new Warhammer Raiding rules, a few more confirmed Chaos Warrior details and 2 high res pictures of the new Chaos Lord and Marauders.
I hope you like it.
I understand it is not available to a lot of people yet, but we have had it in our store for several days now, and we are just a hobby shop, not even a GW. I would assume all the stores in Western Canada would have them if we have them, and I'd imagine most of the States would have them now too.

yeah i also got it a few days ago.
The mini's are great. Very happy with them.
The contents look good. I only have a quick skim over when I first buy. As I take my time reading it when im on the bog. Give me a few more poo's and I will be able to leave more insightful comments.
But so far I'm happy.
I AM BOOMER!
This is the first WD I've picked up in well over half a decade.
Clearly free models is my price..
WD does seem to be a bit better than the hogwash it became, but it is still not worth shelling out money for, not until they bring back stuff like Chapter Approved.
Arch Overfiend & Grand Despot
I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters
and my attempted foray into fantasy
'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
Theres still too much LotR for my liking though the last few issues have been pretty good. Dont understand why they didnt use the old Sicarius model in the battle report though. The tale of 4 gamers is a complete let down-no budget makes it pretty pointless and unrealistic.
White Dwarf has been terrible lately, and has been for a very long time, I get them for free and i still don't even read them, the articles are terrible and boring, and for the most part uninteresting. The painting articles have been bad, they show you a model, and a zoom op of a portion of it, and say we used this colour this colour and this colour, with no explanation of how they blended it, layered it, or if they dry brushed it.
Battle reports are terrible to, you alway know who will win, but can't complain really, i mean who wants to play the new army if all you see it do is loose. The magazine has so many adds to for new shit that is coming out, and just stuff that the general hobbyist doesn't care about.
The only thing I liked about this new article was the LOTR section, which was only like 10 pages, but that was the only thing that made it good, the rest was about the new 40k starter set and how cool it is, or how cool there trying to make it I guess. In my eyes they need more LOTR in the magazine, it has the best models in my eyes, and the best set of rules as well, and there getting better to.
Hey, I thought SM were going to win this months BR, but that didn't quite happen.
Though tbh, this has also been the first I've bought in a long while, and only because I felt the free minis were worth it.
I've enjoyed reading the Tale of Gamers thing, its actually pushed me to start my own with a few friends.
The Battle Report was okay I guess, though nothing all that amazing it has to be said.
and all of your minitures and codexs and paints and everthing is given to you for free.
I mean the first month how much would any of the armies of cost? Alot more than £50. W.D did this articile becuase it's a legend. I read the first one they did, were each of the gamers was given £50 on month one and then £25 each month after. They even went to speical offer days to get more for their money.
I like how the Elder army is being painted but the rest of it it's a big Meh.
I AM BOOMER!
Yea, I know, when you look at it like that its kinda sucky. The one I'm about to start is using pretty much the same template, but only because the people taking part already have their armies, they just need painting, and in some cases built.
But I still enjoyed reading it.
TBH, I never read the first one they did, because I don't often buy WD these days. But I did hear it was fairly good.
