Destiny's Daughters - A series of poems for Francois's Battle Sisters

    Destiny’s Daughters

A gold lined carapace layered with armour,
The thin black frame stands shiny and tall.
Flowing white hair protrudes from dark helmet,
Hunting treacherous Xenos under Emperors call.
A shield of faith safeguards her vision,
So careful and kept, it protects the Imperium.
Fighting against the dark hordes of Chaos,
All is kept safe from the dreadful Immaterium.
The light of the Emperor is great divine guidance,
The blood of martyrs paint the field red.
Sororitas helm tucked under her arm,
Francois de Lyonesse scans over the dead.
    Livery and seals turned crimson,
The battle was won but many were lost.
The campaign is done now the Psycher is dead,
The price of Mankind is a terrible cost.

Sacred standards flow in the winds,
A blustery billow of smoke and debris.
Bolter in hand and vox spoken sharply,
The Sisters pour forth into destiny.
Swords of chain grind on flesh and bone,
Blades of power swipe cleanly through.
Plasma surges through tangles of fire,
Francois leads them on with a heavenly hue.
What was once the backwaters of space,
Is now the forefront of death and destruction.
Teeming through the gate of chaos,
Flows daemon hordes in currents of corruption.
The Sisters fight on in a tumultuous tide,
Of traitorous marines and great beastly things.
Inferno pistol in hand one Sister falls broken,
But her siblings forge on in a spearhead full swing.

Heroines of battle, the sisters are victorious,
The planet Havoi is safe once again.
The Emperor of man shall live on forever,
Leading us all in his almighty reign.

Hope that's good enough for you. : D I just got home about ten minutes ago. Some family just flew into town and I've been with them all day. Sorry it took so long to write!

And hey to all you out there, if there's any poetry you'd like me to write on your chapter or army and such, or some other sort of fluff, just let me know. I'd be happy to get around doing that for you : D

I've never been one to write poetry, I've always been good at analyzing it however. While I can't say your style is implicit, I will say that it's really very good. You don't go for the rhyming scheme some people do, especially novices, and I can definitely see the use of your poetry in fluff. Somehow I can see it being used in Horus Heresy fluff on the lips or pen of a remembrancer. Well done!
