Hi there. I've just recently thought of creating a Warhammer 40k themed template for blogger, and I was wondering how to create that faded paint effect like those on Space marines and dreadnought armour. Can anyone help me on this? I don't know whether this is the correct topic to post in this forum but any help at all is much appreciated =P
I'm not sure how this will work, but I would try doing a rust-colored background layer, then do your design over it. Make some bits transparent in order to let the rust show through. Use your art-sense from there ^^
Thanks a lot but...It would be a great help if you could tell me how i can turn part of my picture semi opaque. =P
Well, on GIMP, which is what I use, you change the opacity of the eraser tool from 100 to maybe 5-20 or so, then erase the portions you want transparent.
Right... I REALLY hope photoshop works that way too...thanx man for all the help..hope i can get it done by this week lol.
Well, if not, you can always download GIMP. It's free and stuff.
Anyway, good luck.
