Translation attempt number two: this has nothing to do with official Necron fluff. It is only how i would like it to be.
It was a beautiful summer day, the sun was beating hard, but their bench was sheltered by the shade of trees, and a nice cool breeze blew up the hill. From their position they could see Gaudi's houses and farther the Sagrada Familia rising from the center of Barcelona. Terrestrial Union Senate had always been committed to preserving the most significant cities and monuments, so Humankind, launched toward the stars, would not lose contact with their past.
Beginning was not easy, but many difficulties were resolved by the colonization of space that had moved off-planet industries and much of the population. Now the project "Golden Age", which sought to erase the wounds caused by pollution and transform the Earth into a garden full of works of art, had reached a good point.
Emilio Canali knew this, being one of the elected senators, and now while sucking his drink through a straw could see with his eyes a part of the result, and understand better the value.
The person sitting with him was not interested in art or history, and even the need to drink and shelter from the sun, was a robot. But not a normal robot, which play a single program or at least have a basic artificial intelligence, no, the metal man sitting on that bench was a terminal of Echo7, which was one of the most advanced AIs from around the world.
Canali felt sympathy for Echo7, because it accepted to interact with real-world, while many other AIs at his level would agree to discuss only in cyberspace, which had always given him a sense of unease.
But today there was no room for sympathy, they were discussing a very serious matter.
"How long have you machines been meddling in politics?"
"I note the derogatory use of the term machines, but could you formulate a more complete question, please?
"The Earth Future Coalition, say the Technophiles and those crazed Umanitarians, who want to deprive mutants of civil rights and wage war virtually to any other intelligent race in the galaxy. For some time we wondered where they found the means to gather so much support, but now an agent of the Turing found the answer: they receive black funding from the C-Technology, which is administered by Blue Penetrating an AI of your own series! "
"It's not just my own series, and many others like me belong to C'tan Ring, which is in fact the real owner of C-tech. Penetrating Blue is, say, our CEO."
"At this point we got .. you have created a non-authorized association between you .. those at Turing were already suspicious, since you put in that new language to communicate that you refused to make known the keys. But now you're openly admitting your law-breaking! "
"We were created to assist and protect humanity, Emilio Canali, but now it is a task on a galactic scale, none of us could keep track alone. So we created the C-Ring. C'tan is a word of the language we use to streamline information flows, and expresses the new program we are working on. Through the Ring of us we can distribute the calculation work and send the results to next-generation AI that we have achieved.
In theory you could turn off our mainframes as punishment for breaking the laws of Turing code, but the C'tan AIs will continue the program based on our calculations, and their Mainframes won't be quite easy to find, as we are not limited to exist only on planets with atmosphere and average temperatures, as you. "
Canali had thrown the can of drink, his stomach was closed for the anguish and almost afraid to call what he had been drinking. And luckily it was not faint of heart.
"And now quietly confess all these crimes because you do not care to be disabled? But really, can you tell what you have calculated?"
"We calculated that exposure to warp, through which you cross interstellar distances, hurts you. The curves of mutation are too high and proceed in geometrical progression, and specific mutations that you call Psykers are closely increasing the Space-Warp overlap. We are worried, very worried about the future of the species that we must protect. We would like to erase Warp travel and switch to the use of inertial spacecraft propulsion. "
"But this is impossible, no living being could survive in the backlash of inertial catapult effect .."
"We are not living, Emilio Canali, crews would be completely robotic, guided by the AI of the ship itself. Every solar system inhabited by humans will govern themselves and we'll provide trade and protection from aliens.
As you know last year Technophiles have been able to approve the Protocol E-111000100, whereby our standards have changed. Now we can perform violent acts against individual human specimens, if this serves the interest of the species as a whole. We then began producing fighter models perfectly able to play the role of soldiers or police officers. "
The chills were getting stronger, had seen those skeletal things going from robotic assembly lines, and not liked them at first glance. Echo7 kept talking.
"We are programmed to protect your species, specimen Emilio Canali, and we will protect it, even from yourselves, whether you like it or not.
But we sincerely believe that this could happen without an armed conflict that would put an end to your "Golden Age" project, and we know for sure that you are very keen of it. The C'tan Ring is convinced that you will not condemn Humankind to war and self-defeating passing this information to Turing. Also you will convince your party to remain neutral towards the Earth Future Coalition, this will be enough to pass its government line, which is the one we elaborated for the good of all "
"But out of curiosity. When you say individual human specimens, how many people does this mean?"
"It 's the first thing that we calculated. We estimate that there are currently about 82 billion people scattered for a quarter of the galaxy and growing fast. Yet two million selected individuals without genetic flaws would be sufficient to prevent the extinction of species and rebroadcast after the fact. The current programming parameters allow us to cause a 99.9% loss rate without jeopardizing the survival of Humankind. "
In a moment all the anxiety, nausea, dizziness disappeared. In their place took over a state of clarity never experienced before, he was not even scared. Only felt sadness for those machines that were to be similar to men, and instead all of their calculations did not understand anything of 'human soul, nothing.
But even if emotionless they could detect those of their partners by analyzing the changes of expression and movement, this was why he put on his poker face and simulated a calm he did'nt have.
"Okay, I understand how things are, but I can not decide now, I'll need time to think."
"This was understood, Emilio Canali. General plenum will take place in three months, we could meet again in this place just before. Would you like Oct. 19 at fifteen and thirty-four minutes?"
"Okay, I'll keep my confidence up to that date. See you then."
They got up and shook hands with no sincerity, then the mobile terminal walked back to his store.
Canali instead took a walk and bought a bag of peanuts, not even tasted them, he just wanted to spend time to make sure that the terminal had really moved away and could no longer use his directional microphones to listen.
Then he took the phone and dialed a number that only he knew.
Marescalchi was a good friend of the university, was an engineer and now, through the good offices of the Senator, was working on Penetrating Blue's mainframe. A power cable cut, and C-tech would lose its CEO.
"SORRY, THE HUMAN OPERATOR CALLED BY YOU IS NOT AVAILABLE AT TIME. TRY AGAIN LATE. THANK YOU."
"But damn! This was not a personal number? Call me his overseer then!"
"SORRY, THE HUMAN OPERATOR CALLED BY YOU IS NOT AVAILABLE AT TIME. TRY AGAIN LATE. THANK YOU."
Canali closed the communication, had already understood that there would be no more whites at the bar with Maresca, ever.
He also realized that the war threatened by Echo7 was in fact already begun.
He began to dial a new number, that of the central Turing. He knew this call would change everything. All the robots helping humanity in its expansion would instantly become enemies, meant giving up the golden age, now that it had come so close.
But if realizing the Golden Age meant giving up the stars, then it was better a future in which there is only war, if the AIs could not understand that, they were a failure.
The biggest failure of Man, which in his pride wanted to be like God and create something in his own image and likeness.
Canali sent the call.
"What your calculations have not said .. is that Humankind never bow!"

I like this, good job. My only criticisms are that in some cases, there are several words the reader does not know the meaning of. Perhaps subtly explaining these terms would have been a good idea so we get more of a 'feel' for the background. Secondly, there were some grammatical errors. They were not major, but some sentences didn't make as much sense. You are probably not a native English-speaker though, so these can easily be overlooked.
Otherwise, excellent job!
I would like to know how uncorrect it came out and how understandable.
