Ok, here's the deal. I have envisioned several different comic strips based on the 40k universe that I would like to make. I have the idea's and "scripts" for them in my head, however, I am cursed with the inability to draw anything whatsoever.
What I would like is an artist who can collaborate with me to make a few comic strips that we can slap both of our names to, and maybe garner a little humor recognition for the site.
The ability to make cartoonish sketches of nearly any unit and vehicle in 40k is a must. Most importantly, though, cadian guardsmen and vehicles will be primary as the comic will mostly revolve around a particular guardsman and his squad.
If you would like to be involved, then please reply to this post.
NOTE: I know about the Land Signals On A Land Raider site already, but I have a bit of a different idea in mind and hopefully it's something that we can make a section for on LO.
Why not just post a few of your ideas and if anyone likes them then they can join. I myslef like to draw manga and have been trying a few 40k comics, if I ever master my drawings i'll help but at the moment i'm too much of an amateur. How many you thinking of doing a week or month? A tad more info would be useful.
Well, I don't just want to post them out, cause then when LO see's them, they won't have the same effect.
I would like to only tell the idea's to people who are interested in drawing them first. I want LO to be pleasantly surprised by the comic when they see it.
Anyhow, I have about 5 ideas that could all be done very quickly, and then I would like to put out one strip per week if possible.
How many panels per strip would it be?
Maybe six panels at the most, with pretty low detail. All the artist has to do is make a Leman Russ look like a Leman Russ and that sort of thing, as long as people get the idea of what is being drawn, then it's perfect.
Alright well, here's something I whipped up in 10-20 minutes (with colour time) I can do better, but to a point, if you want too much then I won't do it
Now, send me a pm or and email (email@example.com) with a sample of some of your stories so I can tell if I want to do this or not... (hope I don't sound to pre-modonna like, but some writers... are not appricitive of the artist)
Ok, I'll PM you as soon as I got off of work today. I think perhaps you'll like my ideas.
