Anyone happen to see the latest WD painting showcase with the French Golden Demon awards? It was a JOKE!! Anyone notice how two of the three gold medal winners were Bretonnians? What a big surprise. A whole army with obvious French origins.... Draw your own conclusions.

The Bretonnians are weird. One one side, many have french names, and some carry the fleur de lis, while the army is called "Bretonnian" which bears a striking resemblance to "Britannian"

it's based of the little kingdom that was called Breton, the Bretons were allied with the english in the hundred years war against france/normandy(correct me if im wrong). hourglass if the models were painted good then it doesnt matter.

The orcs are meant to be scottish and, the Beastmen are supposed to resemble the germans in the roman age, living in the woods and striking from the dark.

Actually Brittany is a place in France. So this isn't wierd. Brest was like the major port of Brittany. Yeah it might have had to do with the whole french thinger...but probably not. It usually goes to the best painted ones
