Well seeing as how I am on spring break with the kids thought I would do another one today. Kind of quiet here on the drawing side of the forum...
For those of you that do the DrunkDuck comic server here is my new account. My old one with all my Operation Iraqi Freedom comics looks like it was deleted... Oh well some of those looked pretty good in the news papers and the Army Times. Link for these at DD.
Well yesterday I did finish off my 2nd game of 40K... well after a 15 year break. So the best news was one of my poor heavy weapons teams in my Mech list actually lived through the engagement. But not the gunner, the loader did because the gunner died to allow me to allocate more attacks again the last harmogaunt from a batch of 20... any way...Guardsman Bob is back.
That is really funny do you have any more?
I like the one where he put Born To Die on his helmet. LOL

@Brother: the dates of production are in the top right hand corner. So currently there aren't anymore but there will be. Patience as I get my production process and time pattern covered. But we are off and running with three different ones done and another one/two in the process.
I am working on the third character to joing Guardsman Bob and Gunner Joe. A female Commissar taken from my fluff for my mechanized unit. Currently she is only sketched on the sketchbook and a piece of regular paper. Unfortunately I actually inked her with a permanent marker and that made my lines not as crisp as I wanted them.
Generally speaking I work directly on the computer digitally but I was brain storming yesterday and needed to doodle. But worse come to worse I might pop up the sketchs today if I can't get a real one done. I'm looking at taken the family to the Smithsonian Institute today for spring break.
#4 Hot off the press... well, errr... Fireworks graphics program and graphics tablet and cheap E-machine computer with Comcast highspeed internet working over a wireless LAN so it isn't so high speed anymore... wheew... but for those that care #4 is posted.
Well our hardy remnant heavy weapons team has been rolled into a squad. Aren't they some lucky guardsmen... I guess the Emperor Does Protect...
Hmm, good cartoon drawings however IMO it lacks a joke to tell so to speak. Although amusing I didn't find myself rolling on the floor like after reading Turn Signals on a Landraider.
At any rate, keep up the goodwork.
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
@Triump: Well the humor is laid back and kind of mellow. But it does reflect some commonly held advice to guard players:
#1 take wounds to the spotters/loaders of the HW teams vice the gunners; keeps up your high powered fire longer.
#2 Just a joke about Under Armour underwear. Great for beating the heat and looking like you are wearing spandex but thats about it.
#3 All new guys get ****y. Hardened veterans are a 0-1 selection so obviously all the green horns aspire to be the new guys. Hardened vets are all converted so they can have som disregard for the uniform portion of the Tactica Imperium, hence the helmet candy.
#4 Their is always one squad that gets to be pushed out into the middle of the table to take the assault... the meat shields. Their sole purpose is to trap the enemy out in shooting range so they don't consolidate into another IG squad... so guess what Squad Guardsman Bob and Gunner Joe are in... wait ther 13th Squad, yeah they are now the meat shields... and Guardsman bob thought he was gonna survive a little longer now that he isn't in a support squad... I'm sure Lieutenant B. Bar has something else to say. And the B. = Butter.
But maybe as the strip develops it will appeal more to your sense of humor. All things in time, well maybe.
These are good drawings, keep up the good work  . Nice to see another cartoonist around here, especially with Mead absent around here.
"Well... that hurt" - Vampire Jon Skellan (Mannfred's right hand man) after being beaten up, falling down an underground waterfall and being impaled by a stalactite.
Thanks Wolf Howl. I am currently working on #5 with hourglass. Additionally I am consolidating all the 40K amateur comics at the new "Drawn of War" forum for GW related comics. But many thanks and Mead's is much better than mine.
