The so called living rule books can be found on the specialist games website.
And as Phobos would have said, don't write by slamming your head to the keyboard.

why do they do that for specialist games? from a strictly money-making view, it doesnt make sense. you can just download the rules, go to a local kinkos and just print it off for 5 bucks. why do they do it?
Do it fer da ladz, come join da Ork Klan here!

To attract more players perhaps, really, I think they actually sell more minis in those ranges by having the rules for free. Also I've been told that not all rules are included, I think it's the Inquisitor book that doesn't have all the points cost or rules

Is there not a sticky thread for just this kind of question?
As for the money side of things.. GW wasn't making money off of them anyway, thus why they're pretty hard to buy (especially in Australia) so they might as well give everyone the rules and hopefully it will attract people to buy the models. I reckon it probably works..
Well thats what attracted me and my mates to the game, no upfront cost (rules), sure you have to buy stuff from the UK or US but the rules are free! It has to be good

The free rules got me interested too, but the avalibilty of models here in Australia got to me. Just would cost too much.

Depends on who you play as. My mate bought a 1000 pt imperial fleet for 24 pounds. The free rules got me interested too, but the avalibilty of models here in Australia got to me. Just would cost too much.
My eldar fleet was close to 49 pounds (about 94 dollars Aus.
It actually works out a lot cheaper compared to 40k or warhammer, as a 1000 pt army will usually be over 100 dollars Aus

49 pounds is actually more like $122 Aus, our dollar is fairly weak compared to the UK pound..
But you're right, BFG is still a hell of a lot cheaper than 40k or fantasy. Even with overseas postage. For a start, 2 rulebooks (main one and armada) give you the rules for every fleet there is, instead of a mound of different army books. And you need less models. My two 2.5-3k fleets cost me around $400 Aus, including postage from the US. Now you try amasing even one 40k army that large in under $400.
hit the nail on the head strewart, and if you can find someone to share the postage with it becomes even cheaper
