    500 points new to BoC

Hey, I'm an experienced wood elf player and I am looking at getting some beasts aswell to play with. I'm looking to start small and to figgure out which models I will need to buy, so heres a 500 pt list ive made up:

    Wargor 186
    shield
    heavy armor
    mark of tzeench
    great fang

    Beast Herd 85
5 Gor probably go with GW
    7 Ungor shields

Bestigors 158 - will stick my general in with these guys
    music, standard
    mark of tzeentch

    Tuskgor Chariot 85

    499

Any tips and such would be great.

I would drop the Great Fang and stick with a regular GW. It's 46 points cheaper and in the average game, great fang won't make up its points.

    Beast Herd 85
5 Gor probably go with GW
    7 Ungor shields

Gors only have the option for 2xHW or HW+Shield. Also, I wouldn't recommend putting shields on ungors. The 6+ AS won't make up the 1 point/model. I would try to get another gor or two, and get your ungors up to 11.

Bestigors 158 - will stick my general in with these guys
    music, standard
    mark of tzeentch

Personally when I play a tzeentch army I don't use these guys. They are pretty good when they have any of the other marks, but 1 PD isn't worth it. I would consider using their points to buy a chaos spawn, minotaurs, or expanding on your beast herd/buying another beast herd. Of course any left over points can be used to buy warhounds.

    Tuskgor Chariot 85

I would consider marking this. The rules aren't very clear if you read the army book, but as stated in the FAQ chariots can be marked for the same price as a bestigor mark.

Thanks for the advice, I've revised my list, here's what I have with a few questions.

    Wargor - 114
GW, mark of nurgle, Chaos Armor

    Beast Herd - 89
    7 Gor additional hand weap
    10 Ungor just spears

    Tuskgor Chariot - 130
    mark of Khorne
Am I correct in thinking frenzy causes every part of the chariot to get +1 attack (i.e the both tuskgors, the ungor and the bestigor)

    Minotaursx3 - 166
Hand Weap, light armor, Mark of nurgle
Is it worth it to take a standard on minotaurs? Is 3 a good size or should I try to squeeze 4 in?

    total 499

The army is good. However there is one mistake I noticed.

You are correct in saying that the mark of khorne gives all the chariots members an extra attack, however, you can only mark with nurgle (or chaos undivided of course) if your general is marked with nurgle.

Remove the mark off the chariot and buy another minotaur with the points.

Minotaur standards can be tricky. If the unit flees you just gave them an extra 100 points, but it can help the minos with overcoming high static CR units like dwarves. Really its up to you.
