I was looking through the beastmen book and wondering what i would do with our core units as they kind of suck and we have to take them. so what i was thinking was to put lots of hero's in 1 unit of gor's which wld be flanked by a unit of 50 Ungors and 50 Bestigors
So the list:
Sword of Bloodshed, Potion of Heeling, Charmed Shield, Heavy Armour
Great Brey Shaman (general - Lore of Beasts)
Herd stone, Skull of Rakos
Crown of Thorns, Heavy Armour, Beast Banner
Steel Claws, Potion of Speed, Heavy Armour
Sword of Strife, Dragon Helm, Heavy Armour, Shield
Level 2, Dispel Scroll, Stone of Spite
25 gors, musicain, standard
all hero's and the breat shaman go into this unit
i go 5 wide so 3 of the wargors go in the front with the bsb and both wizards in the 2nd rank
50 ungors with spear
3 Tuskgor Chariots
These are just used to soften up the enemy
50 Beastgors, full command, razor standard
3 razor gors
doom bull does with these guys giving them frenzy for 15 S5 attacks (S6 on the charge) + 9 S6 attacks (+ impact hits)
This come 2989 points or something
Better hope no one packs a Sword of Anti-Heroes on you, or the enemy Lord is going to be an absolute wrecking ball.
I've found that a big block of Gors with a designated Wyssan's Wildform Shaman and a kitted-out Wargor BSB does quite for itself, actually (sure, you have to invest in it, but the returns are worth it!).
