    Warhammer league 1250 pts

So far I'm undefeated in the league and we're bumping up to 1250. Here's the list I've come up with so far.

    Lords: 269 pts
    1x Great Bray Shaman
    lvl 4
    Gnarled Hide
    Talisma of Protection
    AHW
    Lore of Beasts

    Heroes: 194 pts
    1x Wargor
    BSB
    Beast Banner
    HA
    Ironcurse icon

    Core: 517 pts
    39x Gors
    AHW
    Standard Bearer
    Musician
    (Horde formation)

    35x Ungors
    FC
    Hand weapon/shield
    (5x7 formation)

    Special: 270 pts
    20x Bestigors
    FC

I'm starting to hate such low point limits but this is the best I could come up with. I bounce back and forth between Beasts and Shadow depending on the opposing army. Would love to run a Beastlord but the magic phase has been paramount to most of the games I've played. Any thoughts?

    Scratch my last list

scrapped the ungor bus for 3x 5x Ungor Raiders and 1x Razorgor. Gives me alot more screeing and chaff which I really like.

Good change. I'll also point out that your BSB is illegal as written - he can't have magic items. He can, however, have Gifts of Chaos. I'd give him the Gnarled Hide, and put a shield on top of it all so he is sporting a formidable 2+ armor save.

    No problem.

The rest of your list looks rock-solid. Keep on kicking butt and taking names, for Chaos!

    Revamped list

After some extensive testing I've redone my 1250 list 1x Great Bray Shaman 239 pts Level 4 AHW Lore of Beasts 1x Wargor 126 pts GW HA Crown of Command 39x Gors 327 pts AHW Musician Standard Bearer (Great Bray goes here) 39x Bestigor 501 pts Musician Standard Bearer Banner of Discipline (Wargor goes here) 1x Razorgor 55 pts Total 1248 pts I've had better results with Beasts over Shadow. I absolutely love having a BSB with Beast banner but I've won more through sheer numbers. Therefore, a horde of bestigor with effective LD of 9 can hurt far more than a horde of Gors at ST 4. Just a personal preference. My razorgor (affectionately nicknamed Bacon) has done a lot of outstanding work for me as a chaff unit. I like the idea of ungor raiders but it feels like I'm handing my opponent 30 points at a time. Next point bump I'm getting my BSB back, upgrading my characters, and introducing some T. chariots for a heavy flank unit. Would like opinions on the changes I've made. Thanks in advance.

The first point - paragraphs, please. I can hardly read that wall of text.

The second point - why don't opponents ignore your Bestigors? Your Gors aren't all that fighty without a BSB and S4, and they'll cough up enough points for a win. I would focus my army on killing those Gors and then play keep-away against the Bestigors by feeding them chaff all game, which is one of the uses for Ungor Raiders, incidentally (both keeping chaff away from your big units and using them to divert and redirect). As a matter of fact, just having the Shaman die (who you've given no protection, yet are sticking into a fighting unit) would lose you the game.
