I've wanted to get into Fantasy for a bit, and I've been offered a good deal on some Beastmen models. I really like the fluff and feel of the beastmen, but one personal quirk I have, is that I'm not too into chariots. Can you play decently with a beastmen force without using them at all?
You can most certainly do this. This will make your force have a little less punch, unless you buy more minotaurs or something else extra killy, and a little less maneuverability, but a Beast force has enough of that to start with.
You also could take the very popular alternative, invest in some chaos knights. They may be more expensive, but they hit a lot harder than a chariot.
I`ve played BoC for better than five years and rarely use chariots. Not to knock em but there are so many options open to you. Chaos knights for sure, but an extra unit of centagors charging with spears is nice too. I have my best games with numbers, though. Herds and herds of Gors, at a three to one ratio to Ungors.
Yea I really enjoy the idea of using numbers to win rather then chariots, and I like the idea of using plenty of centagors for the punch. I'll look into chaos knights as well.
Shouldnt be a problem Chariots are just one unit of the many diverse units available to BoC.
