I have a minimal beats army which includes a chariot, beast herd, and a wargor; and i was wondering if i should wait for the update of the Beasts army book in 2009 or if i should continue collecting them now. With the new WoC army book coming out i will start collecting WoC again; unfortunantly i am really disheartened because the small beasts force i have was really ment to support my current chaos Mortals.
The question is: should i continue Beasts now or wait?

It shouldn't be too long, so id say wait. Only the Metals should change majorly though, so if you want to get some Gors and Ungors sorted early, that should be fine.
In all honesty, it's still anyone's guess when these guys get re-done. The FAQ states they have started work on it, but how long does it take to finish? Could 1-3 years, who knows.
I say, if you're keen on beast, just go for 'em. Pending updates that don't even have dates shouldn't hold anyone back.
On the WoC book, quite a few Beasts units got into it, like the Dragon Ogres (I think as specials), Shaggoth, Trolls and Ogres. I sure you'd easily be able to use Gor models as FOrsaken too (Warriors with too many mutations, rumoured to have d3+1 attacks each, as well as the standard chaos armour).
Has anyone else noticed that GW pulled the Beasts FAQ off the US website?
