Recently, I read the FAQ, and in between my moaning about the Chaos Amrour thing and the Ranking up four wide, I noticed the little gem about CHARIOTS HAVING MARKS.
So, what's the best mark for a Chariot? I am going on the assumption that a lord is not necessary for a Chariot to choose a mark as a 'Regiment'. I was thinking Khorne would be nasty, four extra attacks, dispel dice and immune to psychology for being frenzied would be worth the possibility of a small kitten causing it to charge violently. Slaanesh seems a nice failsafe, whilst Tzeentch is ok, and Nurgle... kinda sucks... fear causing chariot? Why would you want that? They run away and fail your charge or hit you on 6's, which wouldn't make much of a difference when you probably will hammer the first lot in btb out of the way...
Having a Nurgle chariot helps sometimes because if you want to charge a Fear-causing unit you don't have to worry about making fear tests anymore.
True, although Nurgle is pretty expensive... especially on a cheap chariot lol. May aswell go with Slannesh.
Hmm, so Slaanesh the safest bet? I really think a Khornate one would bring home the bacon though. It's a lot of points, but does bring me a lot of attacks, which mean potential combat res, and I really like that extra dispel dice..
Also, I'm taking a Tzeentchy one for the purposes of fielding a Tzeentch BSB. Not too much of a waste, is it?
