Maybe not the rules, but the model is a real pain.
Yet another metal ogre sized kit that DOESN'T"T FIT TOGETHER. The arms are a nightmare. Gaps at the wrists and elbows so huge it's impossible to hide.
Anyone that hates annoying metal models steer clear of this one. Or pay someone else to do it.
Haha i got mine together with alot of greenstuff The horns keep being wiggly, and i have yet to attach te arms, but since i'm going to make a BSB gorebull that will have to wait.
Most GW books have the suggestion of "pinning" metal models together. That takes some work, but you'll have a solid model when you're done. Truthfully, just by looking at pics of the model, I knew players would have trouble putting him together.
He's similar to the Rat Ogres, by the looks of it the same guy was in charge of separating the pieces out! Problems are in the same areas.
Fantasy: Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen and Tomb Kings.
LotR: Misty Mountains and Rohan
just use lots of green stuffs to fill in all the gaps when its painted you wont see it mate
It could be possible your pieces are bent and that's why they don't fit properly. I find that sometimes with mine. I think the doombull model is quite sweet however.
Dunno, the pieces are quite thick to be bent...but I still slotted mine together, with a gap under the shoulder...but you can't see that so I'm happy enough. I posted this when I couldn't figure the thing out, my hand have got glue all over them and I'm in a rage about it! I'm cool now, coz it's gonna make an AWESOME looking Ghorgon, but it still doesn't quite fit.
It also comes on the back of the Orc Troll in metal that doesn't go together, so for me it's part of a few frustrations...
i just got the doom bull myself and wow is it a pain to put together, i can see what you mean about the gap under the arm!
how you making him into a gorgon? i was thinking of coverting my shaggoth since i cant use him anymore, not that i did much anyway haha
I'm doing anything fancy with him, 50x50 base to start, and two of the arms from my Mino sprue with axes for hands become the 3rd and 4th arm. I've put one above the right arm, and th other below the left. I've left with the giant axe, because it looks sweet, isn't out of character really, and I might still use him as a doom bull one day with. Just right now I'm trying a great bray list.
Shaggoth will make a great Ghorgon, so go for it!
ah sounds pretty cool although i love the doombull as a character he's pretty unstoppable if he gets the charge off wit a unit of minos
