Hey guys, so far i have played 2 1v1's with my beastmen and im 2-0
The first game against ogres and easily won, tuskgor screens, Cygor messed his ogres up with 2 good shots, and minos are just far better than ogres.
2nd game barly won against Brets
This thread is started with the intent to see how everyone is doing. Please list your basic games and tips you used to overcome the enemy, or things that didnt work so well. I would like to start gathering basic info for up coming toruny's and what armies to look out for.
My main threats like everyone is VC and deamons. I play one of the 2 local VC so dont need to worry to much, and bro plays deamons so i feel with enough games might find away to break the beastmen 10 year losing streak against these 2.
Please post size of battle, enemy, and what peices really helped you win, or what never to field against an enemy
Good Luck and have fun!

Badly enough, I'm 0 - 3 with my list.
Played 1v1 2k games. 2 versus skaven, 1 versus empire. I learned alot and I went back to the drawing table. Hopefully this weekend I'll do better.
That's not really the point of this topic, but alright. This is all based on my own oppinion and might be different from your own.
Ranked ambushing units aren't worth it. It's harder to get hatred on them (no general LD in range) and with str 3 they wont do anything. 1 Battle he turned 1 chariot towards my unit of gors (18 big 6x3, banner, musiscian) and he crushed the unit on the charge, making them flee right of the board, captureing the banner. The other battle I had the unit stuck against clanrats, and after 4 turns of dice rolling my unit fled.
From now on I might play 1 ambushing unit max, 10 size gors just to have a lucky go against that cannon. If there aren't any, they can stay there claim/deny a tablequarter.
Minotaurs are cool, but need some finesse. Sticking a character with them makes them immidiately frenzie, wich makes it harder to point the in the right direction. They do sweep away, everything that comes in fron of them, but hen they get charged they will die and loose. I'm switching out the minotaurs for some centigors, see how they do. If your good wit frenzie and have alot of units to keep them from launching into the wrong enemy, there great.
Bestigors are great! I used a unit of 12 big, with a musiscian. They lack a nice ammount of attacks but there hatred makes them worth the points, and makes almost every attack count.
Those are the 2 big changes I am going to make. Stop playing "nice guy" and switch out the ambushing units, and minotaurs for a cygor (i already have a giant) centigors, and 6 levels of magic (3 shamans. I only used a scrollcaddy before)
i played beasts in the last edition and i would like to ask a question
if beastmen dont worship chaos and are just tainted by it why is the mark of chaos on their herdstones?I asked a guy at a nearby games workshop and he just said "because thats the way it is"
