I was perusing the new book and found something rather awesome. Before, Beasts always had a problem dealing with crazy warmachines (COUGH steamtank COUGH) but now it should be super easy. The Mino strength increase means that 2 handed weapons give them the strength 7 needed to slap the monocle of the Empire. Further, I noticed a neat little trick in the book involving Bestigors. Simple take a Wargor, make him the BSB and give him a certain magic banner that adds 1 strength to the unit. Thus, a block of Bestigors and a Wargor wander around with Strength 7 attacks! Any thoughts on this, or has anyone attempted this yet? I am curious to it's viability.

Oooh, you are right, that unit gets more wounds than minos for the cost!
A few less attacks, but added survivability may be worth it..
Be nice to your enemies, it will make them madder!
I really need to get my hands on this new book. S7 Minos with 2HWs? And S7 Bestigor!? Yay for 7th ed powerups... or not (ok, so its "good" for beasts, but good overall for the game? i dont think so...)
if you want to get even nastier with the bestigors, give them a beastlord with the crown of horns aswell. This puts them up to leadership 9 stubberon with BSB rerolls, plus the S7 attacks.
So, yes it's a 7th ed powerup...that you pay a lot of points for, so I don't think it'll do too much to the game....
