'Lo all. Coming to Beasts from Dogs of War means that I've got a fair few Ogre Kingdom Ogres.
Now, I was pretty unimpressed initially with Minotaurs compared to Ironguts - frenzy and str5 and ws4 are all good, but the thing is the Ironguts are 7 points cheaper each with better armour and with a great weapon.
So, what I was contemplating was, would it be worth it putting the Minotaur hero in with a hired unit of Ironguts? There's not much difference in the way of performance, might be a little lower, but the points would be cheaper. Plus, Ironguts can take a magic standard too, so I could always try the Rune Maw and vomit spells off onto those stupid Ungors... (pity, in the old book I was gonna take them near Khazrak and redirect spells onto him to pimp his strength up)...And finally, lookout Gnoblar! Screw YOU, Empire/Dwarf Gunline! So, thoughts? Opinions?
EDIT: I have just realised...Slaughterer's Call gives the unit he joins frenzy. That's frenzied Ogre Ironguts.

I don't Know how your club handles DoW, but here in Holland you can't hire DoW anymore. Only playable as a stand alone army.
If you do, I don;t think it's that much of a difference. The armour of Ironguts sucks. So it wont be much help. Your basicly paying those 7 points for a better WS, a better base STR, ALWAYS a impackt hit (no bullcrap about being to far away, and the impact hit is also a higher base str than that of an irongut) and most important, the ability to gain alot more attacks!
Stick with minotaurs imo
