What lore do you think is the best for Beastmen?
If you just look at the first spell I think that Death is much better than Beast and Shadow.
Well I summoned a giant in my last game in turn one so was pretty happy with Lore of the Wild. I had four shamans in that game with a different lore each and they all performed marvelously
Fantasy: Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen and Tomb Kings.
LotR: Misty Mountains and Rohan
stay away from the lore of the wild unless you are using it on your lord level mage. Otherwise either of the other lores fit very well for our style of play.
I stick with Beasts. Bear's Anger is just awesome. Beast Cowers is fantastic. I love rooting some monster or removing a monster's ability to attack. For instance Centigors vs Hellpit Abomination normally would go to the Abomination hands down, but hit him in the flank and deny him attacks back... feels so good.
Shadow and Death are good too. Not very impressed by the Lore of the Wild.

Baby boys are like free bulldozer rental tickets. You have no idea what you're going to do with them but you know they are awesome!
lore of the wild, every time, death on a lord character however, im really good at rolling 1s for spells so i almost always get viletide, and you say basic spells are better? i dissagree there 5D6 str 1 sounds rubbish, with the hagtree fetish, 9 wounds per casting is about average, and against light armor and shield thats usually 6or7 dead. usually kills 2 or 3 chaos warriors a turn.
my best ever casting was 26 hits with viletide, 17 wounds onto lothern sea guard, and 11 dead. best you will ever get with dark hand of death is 6 dead... i know which spell i prefer.
lore of the wild actually happens to be one of my favourite lores of magic( behind vampires and Tzeentch).
Fantasy : Empire, Chaos Warriors, Chaos Daemons, Vampire Counts, Beastmen, High Elves, Lizardmen( but i have opinions on every army just not the money)
40k: Black Templars, Imperial Guard, Dark Eldar, Tau (thinking of Eldar)
