currently I am kit bashing to make my harpies, what are others doing?
I am just using the Harpies from my Dark Elf army. Not original but it works well for me.
I rather like the look of Daemonettes with Tyranid Gargoyle arms, but that might not be quite as bestial as you might want.
Edit: I've actually been toying around with the idea of Ghouls with Gargoyle wings, no idea if that'd work or not though =p

I personally use some furies I have lying around, but I've seen daemonettes with wings, ungors with wings, and my personal favorite squigs with wings.
Forgot to post what I was doing.
This is what I am using: Bought the following box sets: Daemonettes / Tyranid Gargoyle / Wood Elf Dryads
Daemonettes: Body and Head
Tyranid Gargoyle: Wings
Wood Elf Dryads: Arms
First I have rounded the parts on the daemonettes where their arms would be attached with an exacto blade.
Cut wings to shape, drill holes and pin and glue to body.
Flight post placement and inserted to body and base.
I based them on 25mm x 25mm.
For flight post, I use Carbon Fiber, but a small block placed under base and drilled and glued flght post in place.
I mixed sand from a pet store, with elmer's glue to fill the base up, to give it some weight so they would not fall over so easily.
Arms cut to fit and glued.
Paint, and base add ons.
Over all I made sure the pose I wanted was done before drilling and glueing of parts. Care was taken on making sure they could line up base to base.
I'm just using Harpies and painting them differently to my dark elves.
Fantasy: Wood Elves, Dark Elves, Beastmen and Tomb Kings.
LotR: Misty Mountains and Rohan
Skeleton + Marauders + Green stuff = Harpies...-like creatures. Not quite done with them(and they might be 'turned' into furies). I do this because I dislike the current minis alot. Real ugly.
