2 hand weapons or go home son!

Without light armour, shields are just too horrid.

Especially with the stepping up and primal fury rules (what with being combined with the lore of beasts signature spell) two hand weapons really rock.

Actually seen people do Shields with great success. You pick up 5 extra attacks from AHW, while shields gives you SOMETHING. 6+ in combat/against arrows and 6++ in combat.

It's not amazing but I've seen it used well. It depends on how your army is built in my opinion.

5 WS 4 rerollable attacks will generate more CR than a 6+ ward will save you most of the time.

I can't roll 6+ to save my life. My minotaurs received 4 wounds from armor piercing spear elves with hatred, and I didn't save any wound with the 6+ armor and 6+ ward!

They're not always re-rollable and against some opponents it won't. Like I said, depends on your list and what you're up against. Not touting it as the best thing ever.

This is true, but with Leadership 9 and a reroll, you might as well consider it in most cases.
