Is an all chariot army viable for the beasties? I tested one out yesterday at 1500 and it did pretty well with all of the impact hits from multiple charges. But I was wondering what were your thoughts on an all/mainly chariot army?
In a small list it could work, but there will be a tipping point where it just wouldn't work. Let's say you just charged 5 chariots into a block of zombies. You do epic damage, but they end up sticking around and the VC player just raised a bunch back. Now you have your chariots tied up in an awful combat. The other super awful part of the all chariot army with the new BRB is that you can no longer break ranks with hitting an enemy in the side with 2 chariots.

Baby boys are like free bulldozer rental tickets. You have no idea what you're going to do with them but you know they are awesome!
I'm not sure about an ALL chariot list.
However, a chariot heavy list that is very mobile could work.
Fun to work with.
- Chariots for us (beastmen) are core units. Hooray
- Make 1 or 2 a razorgor and really put the hurt on.
- By taking "ghorros" as an upgrade,Centigors can be taken as core. This adds a ton of mobility to an army and a hard hitting unit.
- Warhounds could actually play a great use in this army. Small blocks of them can add to CR while running like the wind.
- A BSB on a chariot could carry their leadership quickly to any ambushing units
I would be very careful about an all chariot army.
I also play tombkings and was running a chariot heavy list over the weekend and encountered a few issues. The moment the opponent is in or behind terrain or obstacles you are stuffed. With the new rules about terrain there will be a bit on the board and more than enough for them to hide behind. Also think of scenarios like the watch tower when you have to capture a building, cant do that if you are mounted.
Just my two cents.
