...and why you think he is the best.

Khazrak One-Eye is pretty studly, IMO. 2+ armor, +1 attack over the typical Beastlord, and negates magic/runic weapons used against him (and I haven't even mentioned Scourge yet)? Why yes, I do want some of that. That said, the default Beastlord has some stuff going for it as well, since I can make one with a 1+ armor save (backed up by a 4+ ward save) with the same amount of attacks, plus he costs a bit less, even when fully decked out.
I'd probably run with a Beastlord because I'm leery of the whole Unique Character thing, but either is a great choice. The Gorebull is killy enough to not need to be upgraded to a Doombull, and Leadership is kind of important in a Beastie army.
Honestly, I like the doombull in a squad of minotaurs. Minos get adt hand weapon, doombull gets Hvy Armor, Gnarled Hide, Ramhorn Helm, and either steel claws or axes of khorgor. The axes are nice for the rerolls, but the claws are nice for the additional attacks. I got up to 5 attacks for frenzy and rolled a 5 on the d3 attacks foir claws giving me 5 base + 5 frenzy + 3 for the claws = 13 attacks at WS and S 6. Add that to the regular minotaurs and thats a unit nobody wants close.
Even without 5 frenzy attacks they have 8 s6 ws6 or (with axes) 6 with rerolls.
I was under the impression that 10 was the maximum number of attacks that they can recieve.
You can't, even frenzy can't bring it higher then 10
Malagor the Dark Omen is the best lord IMO.
if we're going with 'special' characters (named); Khazrak is far and away the best.
his armor save is above and beyond what we're capable with one exception (gnarled + heavy/sh. for the BS and renders the killy weapons inert.
with all the hordes out there, he can chew through any unit with scourge. Even w/o his WS is great and primal fury lets him hack away at any foe.
The ambush bonus is nice for when you want a few raiders to harry the enemy.
Most of our lords are far overpriced for nothing to amazing. However, khazrak stands alone in having an amazing punch for his price.
in my GW store the house rules are that the lords can have 100 points of magic items and up 75 points chaos gifts if a beastlord and 50 points if a doombull. this also means 50points magic items for heros with up to 50points chaos gifts if a beast hero and up to 25 points if a gorebull
this means i run a doombull with sword of bloodshead, potion of heeling, the armour that lets u get an attack for every save u make, shield, the 5+ scaly skin and the armour piercing attacks.
This gets me D3 armour piercing attacks on the charge at S6, 9 S6 armour piercing attacks attacks, stomp and a 2+ save and when down to 1 or 2 wounds i use my potion of heeling. yea this guy is tough as nails to kill. its just a shame he cant break ranks on his own or i wld run him like that
why not brass bull guy, he seems solid. throw him in a unit he is beast doombull+ i think
Mostly the expense - it's mighty hard to have him and a Great Bray-Shaman in the same army, and you do want both a Combat Lord and a Magic Lord, in my experience.
These days, I don't leave the forests without both a Beastlord and a Great Bray-Shaman.
