Its been awhile since I played with my Beastmen force, so I would like to know if 8th edition added a boost to our lists, or did it shaft us?
Also, would the beastmen be a competitive list ... say ... at a 'Ard Boyz?
Thanks in advance.
Massive boost, from what I've heard of how 7th was. The change to Ld tests and the BSB makes him a must-have in our armies, because Primal Fury is now an easy-to-obtain resource. Big blocks of infantry are where it's at, thanks to the steadfast and step up rules, so that also swung our way. Our Rare section sucks arse, though.
And yeah, they're definitely 'Ard Boyz competitive, as long as you bring reams of Gors and Bestigors.
Big Blocks of infantry are the thing today. Which is a buff. Leadership is less important than before. Which is also a buff. Death-star Characters can be sniped with cannon, meaning people are less likely to try and play hero-hammer. Which is yet another buff.
Yeah, I think we're doing good.
