well, i was thinking of starting a beastmen army but im not sure what sort of army to get. either an ambush heavy army or a magic heavy army with a few ambushers. im leaning more towards a magic heavy army with a great bray shaman. ill probably be using lore of beasts and lore of shadows. ill have a lot of hard hitting and fast units like chariots, centigors and spawns which i will magically send into combat (unseen lurker, staff of darkoth and so on). i also want the army to have a strong theme. i was going to buy a dryad sprue and mutate some gors and ungors to make it look like the presence of the great bray shaman has mutated some of his brethren. ive seen on the US gw site and it looks great. could you please give me your thoughts on whether or not this army could work. also could you please give me a few tactics for this sort of army.

That army could work very well. The Beasts and Horde books can be so versitle, anything will work!! They just don't have much shooting.
My army is majic heavy Tzeench army that has loads of herds, chariots and Minotaurs. A Lord or Doombull with majic and then 2-3 Wargors with majic. Lots of majic power there!
My friend has a chaos warrior/knight/deamon army lead by a Khorne deamon. Very tough to beat.
I like your ideas of the dark theam majic and mutation. Should look really good.
