i dont think im alone when i say that the minaotaur models leave something to be desired. I thought people could list their conversion ideas. (thank god for the new plastic giant)
New plastic ogres. With tuskgor heads (from the beastmen chariot). Green stuff fur instead of pants, and hooves instead of shoes.
At least, that's my idea. Too bad I already have a dozen minotaurs. I found about eight for half price and couldn't resist.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if it's wrong.
Ogre Yhetees with Bloodthirster bull-heads and scratchbuilt legs? or, if you want to try to find enough, go order bitz from the old daemon prince models, just the legs, and add furry torsos and heads as required.
What's wrong with the current range of Minotaurs?! They look like minotaurs, there's all three weapon options available without having to do any conversion work, and the Doombull is an incredible model. Plus, you can easily do a little conversion work on them if you've given them a Mark.
Honestly, I can't see how you don't like them. :hmm:
If anything, it's the current range of Chaos Ogres that need to be replaced. Those chumps are far too cartoony and the weapons look like something a plastic Orc boy would carry...

i like the chaos ogre models - they are better than the ogre-army-ogres in my opinion. i just wouldnt field them.
minotaurs? the only phrase that comes to mind is (no offense)
"they look like a$$"
really, they are HIDEOUS. while, yes, they have every weapon option, i wont take them on the grounds that they look horrible.
for me, looking good is a major influence in what i field. and i guess its the same for a lot of people. i wont spend Ā£10 on a model i dont like. if they looked good, or were considerably cheaper, i would think about them.

i got to amit i likethe chaos ogres . but if you lke gw models try looking at other game models, there are some nice ones out there
I didn't do it myself, but I saw some converted ones that looked pretty decent. The guy use rat ogre bodies, some regular ogre weapons, minotaur heads, and some green stuff.
The rat ogre bodies are more minotaury (than regular ogres), since they don't have the giant guts, and they already have a bit of fur (which fits in with Beasts). He went a bit too far with his, I think (one minotaur was holding an Empire soldier over his head as a weapon, which sounds cool but didn't come out to great), but the basic parts should work pretty well.
Has anyone ever put a minotaurs head on a Bull Centaur Model?

New 40K missions here.
The head, just... it doesnt work for me.
Oh, and the ones with 2 hand weapons are all so boring looking (ALL in the same pose), the 2 handed weapon one is too static.
I dont know, I think it comes down to the fact that I hate *everything* about the model.
If it was more like a yhetee i would probably go for it without thinking twice.
The minotaur models just dont do the unit/creature justice.
Though I like the minotaur lord. Thats a really nice model!
