I'm thinking of putting together a doombull-led minotaur army. How competitive would this likely be? It doesnt have to be 100% mino's, but I'd like to have quite a few.
Also, should I go with a nurgle-marked general to give the mino's a 4+ save.
Finally, should I give any of the mino's 2 HW's or just GW's?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Well, assuming min. army size of 2K for a doombull, personally i wouldnt use nurgle, too expensive for the marks imo. useful, but you could get a lot more for what you spend on the marks (130pts for the lord and 2 mino units!)
Use 2HW,not worth wasting the good init. they have good str anyway
Go units of 4 minotaurs, atleast 2 with 2HW, possibly 1 or 2 with GW.
Take beast herds to keep your shamans in (anti magic) use the beast heards as support if needed.

And hurry up with deciding and buying your Minotaurs, the price is about to go up.
Ryan Dancey, Vice President of Wizards of the Coast, believed that TSR failed because of "...a near total inability to listen to its customers, hear what they were saying, and make changes to make those customers happy." Are you listening, Games Workshop ?
I agree with the statment that the mark to take is Khorne.
In this case take a number of great weapons as the frenzy will help alot.
You have good weapon skill so 1 to 2 units might take 2 hand weapons.
Also remember that you benifit from an extra dispel dice for each makr so that might prove helpful in a Mino army
hope you dont mind losing alot, the ogre kingdoms dealio (where they lose A LOT) goes double for all cow armies, although they can beat ogres hands down (theyre just better) they lose to most other armies, most of the time
i play a 2000pts cow army most of the time and i gereally go 6 3mino units and a doombull
(normally with mark of tzeentch a mino lord thats a wizard is amazingly nasty) backed up by 3 wargors with MoZ and 3 beastherds(i obtained some of the old beastman models that look like baby minotaurs) and a light cannon usually rounds out my choices if ive still got points left i normally go a unit of horrors or a DOW wizard lord.
personally i love my minotaurs they hit hard and get some impressive abilities when marked. the bottom line is choose an army that you like and not just something that you think will win you games.
(oh and ogres get snapped by minotaurs)
I love Pathfinders.
