im redoing my 2000 pts undivided force and i just live the khorngors... the question is how many i should field... i've been thinking of 20 with banner and musician, though this seems way to expensice and point-sink-like.. then i though about 10 including a musican, how would this be?
I have been using a block of 25. Shooty stuff have been focusing on them lately so 25 seem to fit , but I am going to enrich my opponets choice of juicey targets by intruducing more threats , but I can only do this my reducing my block down to 20 for a start and reducing some extra's else where such as magic items or herds.

I for the most part I am against giving a single unit magic resitance. I would rather ad an additional unit or a character whith the mark of Khorne that way the whole army can benifit from the extra dispel dice if needed . If your game goes well you should have the bulk of your troops in combat on the third turn. Thier magic users line of sight should be blocked by then and the magic user may be in combat, not that all spells need line of sight or are shut down due to being in combat , regardless you should only have to worry at most for the beginning of your third turn.
I'd actually be tempted to field 18 (3x6) for the maximum number of attacks against small-base infantry blocks. You gain a couple extra attacks, and it keeps the unit relatively cheap. If you planned on fielding 24, I'd go 4x6.
I'd seriously consider fielding a character in the unit anyway. Collar of Khorne or Pelt of Dark Young are both valid ways go gain some MR. Although I tend to agree that MR is overrated, unless you have extremely valueable units to protect. The Khornegors aren't that critical, IMO.
Arena of Death Champion: Nexim of the Guldskullz Tribe. Fear my wrath!
Today I rocked out with 13 Khorngors with my new best friend, the rage banner. Lost combat big time, rolled snake eyes on my reroll, and ended up do'n 9 wounds outta 13 attacks. that little banner paid for itself a few times over.
Any who, I find it's enough to draw attention, but don't cost me the game if they get shot up. If they don't make it out well I'm out around 250 pts. I can live with that. If they make it into combat they can wreck some shop. (which they did, then flank charged the next turn, they were in the running for the MVP, but got beat out by a spawn that would not die and held up a 500 pt unit) all the better.
edit: typo... don't worry I'm sure there are others
