I already have an army of vampire counts and Ive decided to move onto an army of Beasts of Chaos. I have no experience against them so I dont know what they are like to play with or against. And my best friend has an army of Lizardmen and he is my most common opponent.
In a fight with Beastmen vs Lizardmen who would win?

The units that really stand out in battles vs lizardmen for me are my bestigor sqaud and a squad of furies. The bestigors are tough enough to take a charge from the cold blooded freaks and have a great offense that will leave only lizard corpes.
Even though are not BoC, i still use them and work very well, They are able to fly circles around them and get that flank charge the same time your bestigors charge them in the front.
Beast Herd vs Saurus Warriors...... Lizards win, unless you use ambush to your full adavantage, if it works it mostly saves the game for you. These guys charging the back or flank the same time another squad charges anywhere else always has satisfying results.
Units with fast movement and the ability to scare off/shrug off skinks will do great.
Turtles For the Turtle God!
Shells For the Shell Throne!
Ive had some great battles against Lizzies with my beasts and here are the key things I reckon:
-Beasthers are acually very good against Saraus. Higher movement, high WS. They also plough through Skinks, since they cant even hide in terrain..skermishers ability is very handy here. Try to take at least one 'battle herd' (so, 22-24 strong).
Dont underestamate these fellows against Krox either. WS4 becomes very valuable here.
-Chariots are going to be key against these fellows. Id get in at least 1, 2-3 in bigger games. They play an important support role. A chariot charging in tandum with just about anything (herd, bestigors, another chariot, centigors....maybe not hounds tho ) is going to make a mess.
-Unit that will give you a headache are:
*Stegadon. Whatever happens, dont let him charge you! YOU must charge, and you have a pretty good chance. Bestigors are best here, but a herd with Character support can take it out, too.
*Terradon riders. These guys have a plethora of s4 attacks, that can really hurt the light-no armour beastmen. Again, you'll have to charge these guys if you want to take them out, so whip out things like chariots, centigors and furies. Screamers are probably better tho. Beware, there's a chance these will not be able to be used in a beast army soon enough
*Cold one riders. Again, just make sure YOU charge. Ambushers are good here, as flanking is a really good way to removed these guys. Counter charging with Mino's or Dragon ogres will make a mess of them, too.
-I love taking a giant or two, but be careful of skinks if you do. Their poisoned attacks can really make a mess.
