Well if that blog title won't get me views then nothing will  Unfortunaly the ass I am talking about belongs to a very pissed off 4 foot, bearded dwarf. So for the third entry on this projects blog I am once again posting up new pictures. I'm actually quite happy with how this project is going so far. I seem to be painting quite a lot faster which may be due to the model being easy to paint or that I'm feeling the need to keep this blog on the go. I'm on quite a roll blog wise for me at the moment. So without further ado onto the naked dwarf. So at the moment the skin is finished as far as i'm concerned. I have added four layers onto it. So from the black undercoat it goes like this....100% Vallejo GC Tan75% VGC Tan & 25% VGC Dwarf Flesh75% VGC Dwarf Flesh & 25% VGC Tan100% Dwarf FleshI'm about 70% happy with the finished product, and in the future I might add a layer of a 50/50 mixImage: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...-Slayer-90.jpg Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...er-back-90.jpg I'm quite pleased with how the hair turned out, as I was worried while I was painting it that I was after going too orange, but it seems like the right shade to be now. So there still is a few bits and pieces of Ulrik to finish namely the gold, belt/wood, teeth, metal detailling and the base. But at the moment it is looking good for a Tuesday/Wednesday finish. Expect pics when he's doneSo onto the second member of the warband and its going to be my leader, who I've decided to call Olaf Stoneson, a nice dwarf name. And on those lines i'm calling the warband Stoneson's Stragglers. Theres some backround floating around in my head but I want to get it straight before I post it here. I've just painted the first base of metal tonight as i was highlighting the axes on the slayer so its a very early wip. I said i'd post it up just so you can get an idea of what the next member looks like.Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...e-basecoat.jpg I prefer this mini to the slayer but the way the shield is moulded to the body disagrees with me. Still as models go he's not the worst. Right thats it for tonight. The next update should be Tuesday or Wednesday. Peace out
